Privacy Policy
The short version: Croílár has no account, no Croílár server, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything you enter — quests, notes, progress, settings — stays on your device. The app uses an internet connection only for optional purchases made or restored through Google Play.
What the app does not do
- It does not collect, transmit, or share your quests, notes, progress, settings, usage data, or analytics.
- It has no account system, no sign-in, and no Croílár server. There is nothing on our side for your app content to be sent to.
- Its internet access is used only to communicate with Google Play for optional purchases and purchase restoration. Croílár does not upload your app content.
- It contains no advertising and no third-party tracking or analytics libraries of any kind.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in Croílár — quests, notes, your companion’s progress, capacity check-ins, and your settings — is stored in a local database on your device only. Teallach Studios never receives it.
Optional purchases
Optional cosmetic purchases are processed by Google Play. Google may process account, payment, and transaction information under its own privacy policy. Croílár receives the product identifier and purchase confirmation needed to unlock or restore the cosmetic, and stores that ownership record locally. Teallach Studios does not receive your card or bank details.
Backup and restore
Croílár includes an optional, user-initiated backup feature: from Settings, you can export your data as a plain JSON file and later restore it. This file leaves your device only when you choose to share it yourself (for example, saving it to your own cloud storage or emailing it to yourself) — the app itself never uploads it anywhere.
Device information the app reads
To keep reminders reliable, Croílár reads a small amount of local device state — whether the app is exempt from battery optimisation, and your device’s manufacturer name (used only to show manufacturer-specific tips for keeping background reminders working, e.g. on Samsung or Xiaomi devices). This is read on-device and is never transmitted anywhere.
Notifications
Croílár schedules local reminders and gentle nudges you set yourself (deadlines, rituals, and similar). These are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device using Android’s notification system — no push notification service or external server is involved.
Children’s privacy
Croílár does not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect data at all.
Changes to this policy
If Croílár ever gains a feature that changes this — cloud sync is on our future roadmap — this page will be updated first, and the change will be described plainly, with the date revised above.
